تقييم ممارسة حقوق الطفل في مؤسسات الرعاية الاجتماعية للأطفال في المجتمع القطري

Abstract EN

The purpose of this research paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of incorporating child rights in social service agencies in Qatar, focusing on their strengths, their impact and the challenges facing them.

Data was collected through a questionnaire from 200 workers and specialists in a number of randomly selected agencies.

Results show that highest level of implementation were child right and protecting children from domestic abuse or neglect, their rights in leisure, entertainment and play, While at the lowest level was protecting their right of decent living and the protection form the use of drugs.

Findings also show that implementing child rights in faces several obstacles including administrative, lack of sufficient resources, shortage of skilled workers and inappropriate policies.

The study recommends forming appropriate policies and continuous training of qualified social workers in child welfare agencies.
