Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the practical degree of participative leadership for high schools principals and to know the professional development level for high schools teachers and the relationship between applying the participative leadership at the high schools and professional development for high schools teachers.

A descriptive survy based study used, consisted of (395) teachers, and the data was analyzed by using "SPSS" Program.

Results shown that applying degree of high Schools Principals of participative leadership in Jeddah as high, with (3.74) average ,the level of the professional development of high schools teachers is high, that its general average is (3.97) ,there is positive relationship between the participative leadership of the high schools principals and the professional development for high schools teachers in Jeddah, and value of "Person Correlation" was (0.564).

Authors recommendes Prepariation of the educational principals to support participative leadership methods in general, to increase professional development of teachers, and to achieve the effectiveness and qualification of the educational process.
