The title of this research is the Management Information Systems (M I S) and their impact on the improvement of performance, taking the college of Technological Sciences (C T S) as a case study.

The research problem is summarized in that many of the developing countries nowadays suffer a lot from the wrong understanding that MIS is nothing but the use of computers, and the lack of the clear understanding of the essential role of the MIS to upraise and develop the performance of the institution in addition to this also the scarcity of the information available for managerial decision-making and the non – existence of the common understanding between the executors of the system and their users.In this context, (CTS) objectives are to support the process of decision-making.

In spite of the fact that (CTS) has an Information System, there are some problems facing the college in its way in improving and developing the performance.

The continuous increasing of the importance of the Information in the Institution made that Information to be an important factor for the evaluation of Success of Institution.

To verify these issues, the research suggested some hypothesis to be tested, of them the important are: The MIS makes the different procedures easy for the students, and the process of decision making for the managers.

The reduced costs of the computer hardware and software made its proliferation possible and consequently the fast execution of processes.

The MIS avails the different Information for the users, and this increased the staff’s satisfaction.

For testing these hypotheses, a considerable amount of primary and secondary data was collected about the college.

The results attained proved the correctness of these hypotheses.

Consequently, the study drew up some suggestion – the important of them are: 1.

Reorganization of the administration of the MIS and propagate the correct understanding of this administration and the connection of all the subsystems together.

2.

Build the Capabilities and capacities of the staff and improve their performance through training and the applications of MIS efficiently and effectively.

3.

Improvement of the financial and Social Conditions of the work and the work environment to upgrade and develop the performance.
