Abstract EN

This study aims at exploring the extent of application of the requirements of total quality management at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of Mu'ta University from the perspective of its personnel according to the fields of study and all fields as a whole, as well as the extent of application thereof on a study field by field basis (managerial leadership, strategic planning, information and communication systems, and human resources management.) Furthermore, it aims at exploring the statistical differences in the extent of application of requirements of total quality management according to the variables of the study (gender, nature of work, practical experience.) Descriptive approach was used in the study for appropriateness thereof to the nature and objectives of the study; where the study sample consisted of (30) people of the staff of the Faculty of Sport Sciences in Mu'ta University selected by purposive sample, with a questionnaire used as a data collection tool.

Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the findings.

Findings showed that the extent of application of the requirements of total quality management at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of Mu'ta University was at a medium rating.

As for the fields; the field of organizational environment ranked first followed by the field of strategic planning.

There are no statistically significant differences in the extent of application of the requirements of total quality management at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of Mu'ta University from the perspectives of its personnel according to the variables of the study (gender, nature of work), while there are differences in the field of application of the requirements of total quality management according to the (instructional experience) variable in favor of those with 15 years’ experience or more.

The researchers’ recommendations are summarized in holding courses and workshops on the principles of application of total quality management in the University for its personnel.
