Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the relationship between the use of social networking sites and between the social and linguistic intelligences the Yarmouk University Students, and the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, the study sample consisted of (893) students have been randomly selected and represented the study tool identifying composed of 42 items distributed on two dimensions, and after the collection of data were analyzed using software (SPSS), the study showed the following results: the widespread use of social networking sites between Yarmouk University Students, a considerable increase of 96%, also showed that the prevalence of Ast As long as social networking sites among males greater than the proportion used for females.

The results showed that there was no gender difference in social intelligence, and there was a gender difference in favor of females for linguistic intelligence.

The results also showed an effect of the change in the number of hours of employment on the social and linguistic intelligences.

Less than two hours, as well as an effect of the number of sites on the social and linguistic intelligences in favor of only one site.

In light of the study results it provided the following recommendations: holding seminars and educational courses for students show them the impact of social networking sites, and the preparation of a study dealing with a statement on the negative effects of excessive use of social networking sites.
