With the Globalization phenomenon and increasing competition in the world, there is a growing interest to the concept of competitiveness from policy makers, leaders, businessmen, and Academic searchers.

The term of competitiveness is technically a firm level concept.

However, it is oftentimes extended to the national level, the idea of a country’s ‘international competitiveness’ (export share of country, real effective exchange rate, unit labor cost, long run economic growth.).

In this paper we will attempt to define the competitiveness and the most important indicators of measurement at the macroeconomic level.
