Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the effect of the money supply according to its different aggregates(The money supply in the narrow sense, the money supply in the broad sense) on the inflation rate in Algeria, through the construction of an econometric model during the period 1990-2017.

The Johansen Cointegration Test showed a lack of integration between the joint variables of the study.

The paper also examined the Granger Causality showing a one way causality from rate of growth of the broad money supply Inflation rate.

This causality is reflected in the analysis of Variance Decomposition and Response Function have shown that Narrow money supply is of great importance in the relative impact of the rate of inflation
