The aim of this study is to highlight the role of environmental management tools based on operations (EMS-environmental auditing-environmental performance evaluation) to develop environmental excellence for Egypt State aadjila oil company by examining the company’s environmental management system according to specifications Standard.

the study has a strong and effective role for these tools, especially environmental management system (ISO14001) to the company as well as other tools for environmental reporting and measurement indicators to evaluate the environmental performance, and noted the strong relationship between tools and methodology for environmental excellence, and we by offering several recommendations : adopt more international standards to build an integrated management system besides pursuing several other strategies and mechanisms to develop environmental excellence leading to organizational excellence with the benefit from the experiences of international companies in the field of excellence in order to prepare a model for characterizing the company.
