Abstract EN

The present study aimed to identify the needed competencies for teachers of gifted students in Saudi Arabia from gifted students and their teachers perspectives.

A questionnaire was built to achieve study goal, it consisted of (45) items distributed to three dimensions (professional, personal, social), The participants were 260 gifted students and (88) of their teachers, they were selected from (Taif, Mecca, Jeddah, Medina).

The study concluded results showed that: there are significant differences of needed competences for teacher from gifted student’s perspectives favor of females, there are significant differences of needed competences for teacher from gifted student’s perspectives favor of secondary school, there are significant differences of needed competences for teacher from gifted student’s perspectives favor Al faisalia school, there are significant differences of needed competences for teacher from teacher’s perspectives favor of females and there are significant differences of needed competences for teacher from gifted students and their teacher’s perspectives favor students.
