The study aimed at identifying the role of television in the socialization of the child from the point of view of the parents.

Television plays an important role in the transmission of information and the transfer of educational behavior.

The social educators are increasingly interested in the role of television in socialization.

Television is considered an essential element.

The two researchers shed the light over the role of the TV within the family being one of the basics essentials of any house.

The problem of the study was determined in answering the question: What is the role of television in the process of socialization of the child from the point of view of parents? The study was conducted from January 15 to April 1, with a sample of parents within the city of Misurata, whom the forms (200) were handed to them within the city.

The two researchers depended on their research on the syllable of the case study and used to focus on a particular phenomenon or subject in all its aspects in order to deepen in all the elements related to television and its impact on children.

The two researchers chose the syllable of the case study for the purpose of studying the subject of the study because only descriptive is not sufficient but deepen in it.

The researchers used the sample syllable survey.The study was done in two ways: First: The fieldwork through asking the guardian (200) through the distribution of the forms to answer several questions, which appear through the presentation of the research.

Second: Collect information from books, articles published on the Internet on the same subject - and compare them with the findings.

The study came out with a number of results: 1) Parents still doubt the role of television in education.

2) Parents believe that television is limited to entertainment rather than raising.

3) Parents know the power of television to influence and change, especially in values and behaviors, so they determine the quality of programs according to their point of view and there are many parents that deleted specific channels
