This article seeks to look at the meaning of Habitus when Pierre Bourdieu , specifically the origins and types and dimensions of this concept , through research in general lexical semantics , and sociological significance in sociological pattern of Bourdieu .

This article also seeks to create a clear represent to this concept, And transferred to the researchers in the Arab world, and to raise attention to the importance of analytical understanding and interpretation of social action .

From here, we can see the importance of research in the concept of "Habitus", as a serious attempt to overstepping the dual view of classic theory (freedom-inevitability), which led to the conflict classical sociological theories, which is trying to say either freely and effectiveness of the individual in society or the inevitability and compelling structures of social, economic and cultural.
