This research aims at finding out The impact of (Web Quest) in the quality of students` achievement at the College of Basic Education regarding the teaching methodology of History.

To achieve the object and hypothesis of the research, the and developing their awareness of information technology.

researcher adopted the Empirical research and a number of procedures including identification of experimental design, design of two groups with post-test, and the research community, which includes the third grade students who study the teaching methodology of history in the Department of History at College of Basic Education, University of Mustansiriya (Morning Studies) for the academic year 2016-2017, The study sample was (73) students divided into two groups (experimental and control) chosen randomly, after the researcher conducted parity operations on a number of variables, the researcher tried as far as possible to adjust the extraneous variables (non-experimental) that may affect the safety of the experiment.

The researcher relied on the achievement test prepared himself in his study for the academic year (2014-2015) which consists of (50) articles divided on three questions, the first one includes (20) articles of multi-choice (2 marks for each article), the second one includes (20 articles) (2 marks for each article) of the complementary type (complete scheme), while the third one includes an essay question comprises of (10 articles) (2 marks for each one); after making some changes to comply with the requirements of the current research as the test has many characteristics not available in other tests; the researcher has built an awareness measurement of information technology consists of (25) paragraphs prepared via access to some literature and previous studies related to the research`s subject, through address a questionnaire to a number of experts in the curricula and teaching methodology, after performing a number of procedures to examine its authenticity via submitting it to experts and arbitrators, as well as to examine its stability and strength discriminatory, the researcher prepared (20) teaching plan, during the experiment period which lasted for 12 weeks, the researcher has used a number of statistical methods, to manipulate search`s data .The search`s result was, superiority of the students of the experimental group who were studying the teaching methods of history upon (Web Quest method) in the quality of students` achievement at the College of Basic Education and development of their awareness of information technology against the control group who studied the same material in the traditional way .In the light of the results of the research, the researcher concluded a number of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
