The current research objective is to investigate the effectiveness of Schwartz's model in the development of critical thinking among fourth grade students in biology.
The researcher used the experimental design with partial control in two experimental and control groups.
The random sample was chosen.
A sample was randomly selected from the pupils of AsSajjad Secondary School in AlQadissiya.
The sample consisted of (55) students divided into (28) students of the experimental group and (27) students for the control group, the researcher balanced between the two groups with the following variables (age, intelligence, previous achievement, critical thinking test).
The researcher identified the scientific material and formulated behavioral objectives of (75) behavioral goals.
As far as the research tool the researcher adopted the critical thinking test Prepared by ( AsSaraira 2009) for the preparatory stage in the Kingdom of Jordan based on the classification of (Facione, 1998) of critical thinking skills, which includes six skills: (interpretation, analysis, evaluation, reasoning, explanation), damaged in its final form after adapting to fit the preparatory stage in Iraq from (24) a paragraph .
When processing the data statistically, the results showed that the students of the experimental group who studied according to the Schwartz model were superior to the students of the control group who studied in the usual way in the critical thinking test.
In the light of the results, the researcher recommended a set of suggested, recommendations, including.
