The present study aimed at identifying the The role of student councils in the development of citizenship in some English schools and the possibility of benefiting from it in the Sultanate of Oman.

The study used the descriptive method.

Also used analysis of documents in collecting data and information.

The results of the study found that Student Management Councils in the Sultanate of Oman need a range of activities and programs to develop citizenship for students in the areas of rights, duties, affiliation and loyalty to the country, community participation, life skills and public values.
