Abstract EN

The aim of the current research is to identify the reasons for the low level of achievement in mathematics among first grade students, from the point of view of the teachers according to the gender variables, the academic qualification and the academic specialization.

For this purpose, a questionnaire was composed of (15) paragraphs of each paragraph representing one of the reasons for the low level of achievement in mathematics The current research was carried out on a survey sample of 50 teachers from the original society for this research on teachers and teachers of mathematics.

The researcher used correlation coefficient Pearson and the method of half-division.

1- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the levels of teachers' estimates due to the low level of achievement in mathematics among students of the first average according to the gender variable in favor of females.

2- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the levels of teachers' estimates due to the low level of achievement in mathematics among the first grade students according to the variable of the scientific qualification for the holders of higher degrees.

3- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0,05) between the levels of teachers' estimations due to the low level of achievement in mathematics among the first grade students according to the variable of specialization in favor of those with specialization in mathematics.
