Abstract EN

The current research aims at knowing: The effect of the formal organizer strategy on the achievement of geography and the development of the skill of drawing the map among fifth grade students, The study sample consisted of (68) students distributed in two groups (33) in the experimental group which studied the geography using the formal organizer and (35) students in the control group which studied the same material in the traditional way, The researcher then conducted the equivalence between the two research groups in the variables (previous knowledge, intelligence test, age, time calculated by months), The researcher adopted two tools to measure the variables related to the research.

The first tool was the construction of an achievement test consisting of (32) The second tool represents the test of the skill of drawing the map composed of (33) The researcher confirmed their honesty, consistency and psychometric characteristics.

The study found that the students of the experimental group were superior to the students of the control group.
