Like other nations, the Arabs practiced therapeutic practices as an inevitable human need in the process of that vicious circle, before the advent of Islam, aiming at eliminating all diseases that affected the human body by trying to explain them and understand their causes.

And this may have given a distinctive characteristic of the nature of that treatment of all kinds, and with the arrival of Islam, and the many aspects of treatment that may lead the man to disbelief, and refinement of the methods of treatment, while providing logical explanations of these diseases, the holy Quran and the prophetic Sunnah guided men to the best ways of treatment and the most important of which is to preserve his health and to guarantee his treatment.

All this has added to the universal character of the message of medicine in Islam, which has spread brightly in the Maghreb, where it has benefited from the experience of the previous nations and developed it, so that people benefited from it.

This experience had gone through many methods, such as friction with nations through the crossings as Sicily and Andalusia, or even wars such as the Crusades.

This study focuses on the "Iberian peninsula," "Muslim Spain" or "Andalusia," or "paradise of Muslims lost", for its importance in presenting the days of the Islamic civilization of humanity in various fields, among which the development of various sciences, especially "medicine", which benefited the West, and developed until it reached what it is today, and to investigate this we tried to focus on the most important points: to deal with the overview on Arab Islamic medicine, then the transfer of Arabs to Andalusia, the most important medical achievements in Andalusia, by mentioning the most brilliant Muslim scientists and the role of their journey in the development of medicine in Andalusia, with reference to some aspects of the benefit of Europe in Andalusia .
