Abstract EN

Research Objectives: Measuring Classroom problems of first year pupils with or without previous kindergarten enrolment; arranging these problems according to their commonness ; and identifying the difference in those problems between those with or without previous kindergarten attendance.

Sample of the Research: The sample was chosen in a simple random way, consisting of 120 male and female pupils with or without previous kindergarten attendance from Baghdad government schools of the Second Rusafa Education Directorate for the school year of 2017-2018.

Research Tool: A questionnaire of 62 items covering three main classroom problems which are the psychological, academic and educational problems faced by first grade pupils.

The validity and reliability of these problems were identified.

Research Results: There are no differences in the classroom problems between pupils in the research sample and pupils in the research community.

The problems with high percentages according to the degree of their arrangement and commonness are the continuous need for motivation and rewarding, not answering the teacher’s questions, laziness in doing homework, disobedience, messing up classroom, difficulty in concentration on the lesson.

There are differences with significant statistics between the mean pupils with or without previous kindergarten attendance in the classroom problems in favor of pupils without kindergarten attendance.
