Abstract EN

The aim of the current study is to examine the epistemological beliefs of Duhok teachers in Kurdistan region – Iraq, in addition to identifying the differences in epistemological beliefs according to two variables which are gender and specialty, to achieve the goals, a scale has been constructed that consists of four dimensions as follows (Belief in Fixed ability, Belief in simple knowledge, Belief in certain knowledge, Belief in quick learning) the scale contains 30 items, Validity has been conducted and the test-retest reliability was (0,88) which applied on a random sample of teachers numbered(140), SPSS has been used to process the data according to the research goals, Results shows that the level of epistemological beliefs was medium in overall and in each dimension, there are no significant differences between males and females in epistemological beliefs and in its four dimensions, there are no significant differences the scientific and humanity in dimensions Belief in Fixed ability, Belief in certain knowledge, Belief in quick learning) except in the dimension (Belief in simple knowledge) which a significant difference was found in advantage of the scientific specialities, at the end of the research, a number of suqqestions and recommendations were provided.
