Abstract EN

The present research aims to identify (the effect of the active thinking model on the achievement and visual intelligence of Faculty of education students).

To achieve the research objective, the researchers formulated the following two zero hypotheses: -There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0,05) between the average score of the students of the experimental group, which is taught according to the active thinking model and the average score of the control group students, which is taught according to the usual method in the achievement test.

-There is no statistically significant difference at the level of (0,05) between the average score of the students of the experimental group, which is taught according to the active thinking model and the average score of the control group students, which is taught according to the usual method in the visual intelligence scale.

The study sample is the students of The Islamic University/ College of Education/ Department of English in the academic year 2017-2018.

The researchers have formulated an achievement test which consists of (50) paragraphs (40) of which are multiple choice type and (10) article sections.

The researchers have also made visual intelligence measure consisting of (15) triple paragraph.

After the application of research tools on the sample and unloading data using the program (Excel) and the program (spss), the results shows that the superiority of the experimental group, which was taught according to the model of active thinking method on the control group in the achievement of the study.

Through the research results, the researchers suggest several recommendations, including: -Training of teaching staff on the model of active thinking, especially at the university level.

-Paying attention to the training and development of educational staffs in secondary and primary schools according to different thinking methods.
