And highlighted the importance of research in the light of the effects of the water problem of the effects of political, economic and social large in the midst of political problems, economic and security in Iraq, which was produced by the occupation according to the problem of research, which tried to follow the scientific planning aimed at building institutions to meet the increasing needs of water and to achieve the objectives of research must be Achieving a number of goals: 1- To seek solutions to water disputes with Turkey and Iran by presenting this file to the international committees related to water resources.

2- Strengthening the role of existing water resources in Iraq.

3- Raise irrigation systems, improve water distribution networks, prevent waste and stop desert encroachment.

The findings of the research show that most of the establishments are concentrated in the central and northern regions.

Most of the projects implemented since 2003 are characterized by being simple dams and small reservoirs.
