Abstract EN

The present study aimed to examine the relationship between the feeling of emotional security and psychological alienation among university students.

It also seeks to recognize the differences in the feeling of emotional security and psychological alienation according to the variable of gender.

For this reason, the study applied the emotional security measure prepared by Zainab Shoukair and the alienation measure developed by Samira Abker on a sample of 287 male and female students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of El Oued.

After statistical analysis of data, the study resulted in the following findings 1- There was a negative and statistically significant relationship between the feeling of emotional security and psychological alienation among university students.

2-There were no statistically significant differences in the feeling of emotional security according to gender.

3-There were statistically significant differences in the feeling of psychological alienation according to gender in favor of males
