Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to uncover trends including variations in annual rainfall at three hydrological stations in Jordan during the period 1979-2015.

Data was analyzed to generate rainfall patterns using three statistical techniques: linear regression; moving averages; and several parametric statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, linear regression and analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA).

Results of the study revealed a slight decline in annual rainfall in the three stations based on five years moving averages.

The analysis also revealed a slight (though insignificant) decrease in the annual rainfall for all stations based on linear regression trends.

Finally, the study found insignificant differences between shifts in annual rainfall between stations based on the analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) results
