Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to acknowledge the attitudes the Diploma students in Al-Balga University for Applied Science, in Jordan towards the sport activities course according to (gender).The researcher used the descriptive approach due to the nature of this study.

Subjects were (381) students (M=201, F=180) who were selected randomly.

For data collection, the researcher developed a questionnaire that included personal information and consisted of (34) items divided into five subscales (Academic, health, psychological, social, and abilities).To analyze the students response to the questionnaire, the researcher used (means, standard deviation, percentages, T-test).

The results showed that students attitudes toward participating in sport activity were positive among males and females and the results did not show any significant differences according to gender.

The researcher recommends to direct university students toward participating in sport activities as part of this daily activities, to gain the benefits of better educational psychologically, socially, and healthy attitudes.

As well as grading the course with marks rather than making it a pass or no pass course, providing fields and gyms.
