Abstract EN

This study aimed at revealing the reality of social studies teachers training programs during service in Irbid Governorate for the year 2016/2017, by surveying sample of (52) social studies teachers.

In order to achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire of (30)items was built, it was divided into three domains (training equipment, training skills, evaluation of training) after confirmation of its validity and reliability, it was applied in the study sample.

The Results showed that the social studies teachers assessment of reality of training programs were moderate, they also showed no statistically significance due to (gender, experience and scientific qualification ), In the light of these results , the study recommended the importance of building programmers in the light of teachers needs, and the importance of involving social studies teaches during designing training programs.
