Abstract EN

Ibn Khaldun is considered as one of the Islamic traditions, one of the greatest historical thinkers in the Islamic world.

In his book Muqaddimah, he records an early view of universal history.

Many sciences were treated by him, such as philosophy of history, the social sciences, demography, economics, Islamic theology and others.

In this article, we try to show the important place taken by science of language, and in the same time, we want to present his contributions in science of language before the writings of some scientists as de Saussure and Chomsky.
