We have dealt in our study with the notion of consumption and its most prominent factors and affecting theories.
We have concluded that there are economic and noneconomic factors that affect consumption, depending on the different theories.
From a statistical side, we have studies the household consumption in Algeria during the years from 1980 where we have estimated the 6to 201 household consumption models; and concluded that Tylor's model is the best model, which explains the behavior of household consumption in Algeria.
