The current study addresses the concept of "Structure" and "Narrative personality" critically; "Du'aa al-Karwan's novel" by the writer "Taha Hussein" has been selected as an applied model.

This novel shows us the features of the characters that make up the novel text, and identify the functions ofcharacters names and their meanings, and reveal the relationships that exist between these figures on both the external and internal levels.

The study concluded by talking about the functions of characters and highlighting their role through their application to the global model
