Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between fear of negative evaluation and stress using a sample of (781) graduate students at University of Nizwa (81) male and (17) female, were selected randomly.

To detect the study hypotheses; the means, standard deviations, person coefficients, and t-test were used.

Findings showed that: Fear of negative evaluation was positively correlated with psychological stress; increase in fear of negative evaluation cause the increase in Stress.

The level of fear of negative evaluation is higher among the stressed than the unstressed ones.

There were significant differences between males and females in the level of fear of negative evaluation.

Fear of negative evaluation is higher among female.

There were significant differences between males and females in the level of stress feelings.

A stress feeling is higher among female.

The findings of this study indicated that; There were some recommendations according to the study results which may develop students coping style with stress & fear of negative evaluation.
