Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the point of view of human rights activists on the extent of the Jordanian state's commitment to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

This study based on the assumption that the Jordanian state presented a CEDAW convention to the Jordanian society in a way that promoted the social acceptance of its content and supported the state to fulfil the obligations and the implementation of the convention.

The study examined the validity of the hypothesis and aims to achieve its objectives, among which is to contribute to raising the social awareness of the CEDAW and the rights it affirms.

The study recommended amending legislation that restricts women's rights or causes social discrimination against them
