Abstract EN

This study aims at recognizing the importance of defense mechanisms and psychological significance at public exams of the peoples suffering from visual disabilities.

The sample consisted of (85) persons.

The researchers used the interview as the main tool and despractive analytical approach.

The results are as follows: the public exams contain many of defensive mechanisms such as: rationalization, compensation, projection, withdrawal, aggression, repression, symbolism, fantasy & day- dreaming, introversion, denial, regression, sublimation, and displacement.

And the study recommended to improve the general conditions of the people suffering from visual disabilities, respect their desires, give them the opportunity to express them, encourage a positive outlook, respect their different abilities, and not to ignore them.
