Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the extent of the practice of social responsibility in branches of Islamic banking for Islamic Bank Al Jumhouria at eastern region through the following dimensions: (customers, employees, society, environment).The results found were summarised as follows: The study revealed that the overall level of the practice of social responsibility of the Islamic banking branches in Al Jumhouria Bank under study was moderate.

It additionally showed that the most social responsibility dimensions of the practice represented in the social responsibility toward employees.

Furthermore the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences in participants responses to social responsibility due to the demographic variables under study, except for the educational level variable and in favor of the postgraduate qualification .

Finally, the study made a series of recommendations which will hopefully be followed to promote the practice of social responsibility at the Islamic banking branches in Libya efficiently and effectively.
