Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the reality of innovation in generally , with a highlight on the product incremental innovation in the porcelain company of Chlef as an Algerian public company, and to show its importance in confronting local and foreign competition.

An analytical descriptive method was used.

Interviews with managers were conducted to collect views on innovation, analyse and explain the collected data to retain results.

The study results showed the non-practice of any of the two innovation methods (incremental and radical) by the company.

This can put the company among the affiliates, this means that this company imitates the competitor products.

The porcelain company lacks the implementation of new management methods and ignores its human resource which is the pillar of incremental innovation.

Also it excludes its market and consumer study to meet his needs and wishes of the actual sense.
