The strategy of targeting inflation is one of the basic alternatives to the management of monetary policy, a strategy aimed at controlling inflation rates, through the explicit declaration of a specific rate over a period of time, with the need to provide some conditions necessary for success, and this article aims to identify the possibility of To implement that strategy in Algeria, based on the experience of its implementation in developing countries.

The study found that, although nearly seven years have passed since its adoption in Algeria, its success requires the authorities to provide more conditions for their success.
