Abstract EN

The aim of the present paper is to shed light on the phenomenon of humans’ uncommunication that often results in ignoring and rejecting the other.

The fact, which indirectly interrupts people’s coexistence.

Although this uncommunicative fact negatively proves itself in bringing gaps between nations, but it still takes part at the core of their relationships through the means of language.

To investigate such a problematic, theatre and mainly theatre of the absurd will be used as a tool for it usually brings into existence people’s reality on stage.

Starting from a communicative standpoint toward an uncommunicative end, which most of the time widen the gap and prevent people from being together.

The question that may raise here, however, is how humans can establish their coexistence without communication?.

Hence, in an attempt to answer this question, Eugene Ionesco’s play “The Bald Soprano” (1950) will be used as an example to deploy such a phenomenon that Ionesco himself called “A Tragedy of Communication”
