Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the personal Features traits among volleyball female players in Jordan according to the variables of (playing position, player characteristic).

the study sample was chosen randomly and consisted of )64( female players of those participating in the Jordanian league for volleyball for the year 2017/2018.

The researcher used the descriptive survey approach and Freiburg checklist as the tool for data collection.

The researchers used the following statistical methods: means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach alpha coefficient, t-test, one-way analysis of variance.

The results showed that the social trait was in the first place among volleyball female players in Jordan, while the aggressive trait was in the last rank among volleyball female players in Jordan.

The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences regarding the dimensions of personal traits among volleyball female players in Jordan (nervousness, aggression, depression, being stimulated, social trait, control , and inhibition) according to the variables of ( playing position, player characteristic.

The study recommended about paying more attention to the psychological domain due to its impact on the players' level of performance as well as promoting the personal traits among the players by their coaches, and that the coaches should adopt the personal tests in choosing the female players in volleyball.
