Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the motives behind the privatization of Saudi universities in the light of Vision 2030, from the point of view of the academic leaders.

It also aims to identify the obstacles that limit the privatization of Saudi universities through Vision 2030 and the proposed solutions to limit the obstacles hindering the privatization of Saudi universities from the point of view of the academic leaders.

This study also aims to look for differences of statistical significance at the level of significance (0,05) attributed to the variables (gender, degree, experience, leadership status.( This study was applied to six Saudi universities, from different regions in Saudi Arabia.

The sample of the study consists of (274) individuals, and the researcher used the questionnaire as the tool of the study.

The analytical descriptive method was also used.

The results of the study included the following- Study sample members agree on the motives of privatization with an average of (3.99).

One of the most important motives is the state's policy towards the multiplicity of sources of income for the national economy and the alleviation of the financial burden on the state budget- Study sample members agree on the obstacles that limit privatization by an average of (4,08 The most prominent obstacle Variance of wages of workers between the public and private sectors at an average of (4.42(( -The sample members strongly agree on the proposed solutions to overcome the obstacles of privatization with an average of (4.42).

The most prominent solutions proposed are: Attracting distinguished faculty members and developing legislation.
