Regional economic integration has become an important feature of the global economic system.

developed and developing countries are racing towards the establishment of major integrals, this paper aims at identifying the challenges of the Maghreb countries in establishing regional economic integration in order to integrate more into the global economy by addressing the reality of the Arab Maghreb union since its establishment in 1989 to the present day and its readiness to face the current international situation, as a result of this study, the economic fundamentals of the countries of the union are provided for the re-activation of Arab regional integration through the activation of free trade zones other data.
