Abstract EN

This study aimed to implement a program of clinical sociological intervention to treat or alleviate the symptoms of social phobia disorder in first-year undergraduate students.

The study applied the experimental method and used the case study approach to collect and analyze the data.

Its metrical tool consisted in measuring and identifying the symptoms of social phobia.

The sample was selected from a group of (30) male and female students with social phobia among the first-year students at the Faculty of Arts / University of Jordan aged between 18 and 20 years.

The results found that there were differences between the responses of students with social phobia on the study scale before and after the application of the study program.

The results of post-measurement showed that the symptoms of social phobia among students decreased significantly after the application of the therapeutic program.

The effectiveness of working with social phobias consisted in the technical analysis of beliefs, modeling, role play, free listening, sensory language listening, play therapy, as well as social emotional revival.
