English Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of digital electronic libraries in supporting the scientific research process to serve the educational process through the development of the skills of scientific research among students of graduate programs in Palestinian universities.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used analytical descriptive method; the researchers built a questionnaire consisting of three main dimensions: 1.

Use of digital libraries available in the university library.

2.

Use of digital libraries available on the Internet.

3.

The role of digital libraries in developing your research skills.

The study’s community included students of graduate studies in Palestinian universities - Al-Azhar University -Al-Quds Open University) in 2017/2018 Second Semester, The study sample in the research was chosen by the Stratified Random Sample method (S.R.S) to represent the study’s community.

The study reached the most important results: 1.The role of electronic libraries in the development of scientific research skills "was 81.08%, that is, the degree of approval was great, from the perspective of postgraduate students.

2There are statistically significant differences between the average of the study sample and the role of the electronic libraries in developing the skills of scientific research according to the variable of the study stage (theoretical study - preparation of the thesis) in most areas of the questionnaire and the total score.
