Abstract EN

This study identifies the relationship between the meaning of life and its dimensions, life satisfaction, and some variables of positive thinking such as positive expectations, open-mindedness, positive acceptance and tolerance among Kuwait University students.

The sample consisted of (115) students.

The used measurements were: the meaning of life measurement, life satisfaction measurement and positive expectations, Open-mindedness, positive acceptance and tolerance measurements.

The results indicated that: there is a positive and statistically significant correlation between the degrees of the meaning of life and its dimensions, the degrees of life satisfaction, the degrees of positive expectations, openmindedness, positive acceptance and tolerance.

There are no differences between males and females in the total degrees of the meaning of life and its dimensions.

There are also statistically-significant differences between the males and the females of the University students in the overall degrees of life satisfaction and of tolerance on the side of male students.

There are no statistically significant differences in the measurements of positive expectations, open-mindedness, and positive acceptance among males and females.

The statistically significant degrees of life satisfaction predict the meaning of life.
