نشوء أزمة دارفور و تطورها 2003-2009 م : دراسة في المواقف الإقليمية و الدولية

Abstract EN

The study aims at tracking the Darfur crisis, which broke out in 2003 and lasted for more complex chapters until 2009, the issuance year of the arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir by the International Criminal Court in Hague; being primarily responsible for this crisis, according to investigations regarding the crisis.

Therefore, this study highlights some of the important themes in which this crisis contains such as: the reasons behind the outbreak of the Darfur crisis? What are the conflicting parties? How it turned into an international crisis? What are the main organizations that set the crisis in motion at the international level? The attitude of Sudanese government on the developments of crisis in Darfur? Finally, the study highlighted on the position of the countries concerned to the Darfur crisis and how it was building perceptions about it? The practice of the scientific method in this study is the presentation of the stages of the crisis, the statement of its developments, and survey on regional and international situations more strongly on criticism.

Thus, not for the lack of researcher’s capability to follow this approach, but for being the case very close in time to the present time and it is still experiencing developments from time to time so far.

The main reason to rely on this approach is the fact that the case is still in the politics development and hasn’t been entered in the process of history.

So the researcher tried to make the reader to be the judge through his/her reading of this study, as well as taking into account the scientific aspects in this matter away from all political, ethnic, and religious disputes.

By searching on the subject of Darfur, researcher has reached several conclusions, and the most notable are: the inability of the Sudanese government to keep pace with the population of Darfur requirements, as well as non-observance of the privacy of this region which is a religious and geographical unit in itself.

The Darfur crisis has become an international issue as a result of the intransigence of the government and the conflicting parties in their requirements.

Also, the entrance of interests of the major powers not only in Darfur, but in the entire territory of the Sudanese state.
