Abstract EN

Agricultural sector plays a vital role in economic progress, no less than the role of other economic sectors in any country and at any stage of economic development in order to provide the necessary food for the population, providing many raw materials as inputs to many industries, including food industries, To provide financial resources and surplus labor to develop the rest of the economic sectors and improve the trade balance either to reduce imports or to create excess production for the purpose of export.

Often, there is insufficient information on the factors affecting improved agricultural productivity.

Based on this, the current study aimed at using the methodology of cointegration using the Engel-Granger model to estimate and analyze the agricultural Labor productivity function in Iraq for the period 1980-2011 to determine the nature of the long-term relationship between the labor productivity of agricultural output and the labor's share of the factors of production (Land, Fertiliser, machinery and animals) as well as two dummy variables that represent war and economic blockade.

The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is: The absence of a Cointigration relationship between the explanatory variables and the dependent variable.

The production factors involved in the model as explanatory variables have different effects in the dependent variable, which is labor productivity.
