Abstract EN
This paper summarizes the experiences of the IT department of Omdurman National Bank with four core banking systems: starting from the core banking system of the International Systems Co.
in 1993 to the Jordanian Banks core banking system in 2015.
The author, based on his personal experience, presents the positive and negative aspects of each system and the reasons for the replacement of each system.
The paper is concluded with the author’s general observations and recommendations for core banking system development in Sudan.
