Abstract FRE
Verbal tenses have an important place in Kurdish language grammar.
It is part of several academic research conducted by Kurdish linguists.
This research was started from the 1920 to the present day.
Most of these studies have been devoted to the Sorani dialect (or Central Kurdish).
Therefore, the Sorani dialect has become the modern core of the structuring of Kurdish verb tenses.
This study is based on a comparison between Kurdish verb tenses and French verb tenses, whose objective is to solve the difficulties encountered by our Kurdish students who learn the French language.
Off course, French verb tenses look like the Kurdish verb tenses in regards to grammatical function, but each of them has its own different structure both linguistically and syntactically.
This study is devoted to learning and teaching tenses, in other words, it is part of didactic studies.
