There is no doubt that the rules on international responsibility in international law in general and international humanitarian law in particular for violations to the environment in the period of armed conflict are taken into account in accordance with the rules of public international law with regard to the responsibility of the wrongdoing State in case of non respect of the obligations imposed by international law, thereby contributing significantly to the protection of the environment
