Abstract EN

Everybody knows that the legend is one of the ancient genres of literature and the most used in modern literature.

However, some believe in its importance and some deny and refuse its actual presence because they see it as already disappeared and there is no need to focus on.

Even though the legend is lost in term of creativity, its scares are still being hidden in other genres of literature or at least they are becoming some kind of stories.

This caused a huge confusion in terminology and translation mainly because of the difference of Arab culture from the European culture.

This issue has created some kind of interference between the genres of literature that occur after the disappearance of the legend.

Despite all what happened, the legend still present in our thoughts, in our daily activities that are sometimes referring to ancient gods and sometimes prove this linguistic interference, as an examples in Arabic, there are these words: Tammouz, Elzohra planet, al Atlass mountains and the solar system planets names in the Europeans languages.

This is why this article is mainly written and tried to define and identify the term, to distinguish between it and other genres of literature, and show the importance and the role of the legend among the international languages not only in term of creativity but even In speaking and use.
