Abstract EN

Praise be to Allah and prayers and peace be upon our prophet Muhammad, his family, all his companions and those who followed them until the Day of Judgment.

Having said this, the Glorious Quran is worthy of the utmost attention by interpreting it since it is Allah’s speech.

This could be done by interpreting it by the Sunnah of the prophet and clarifying it by the sayings of the worthy ancestors.

In recent ages, Allah has endowed us with great scholars including the sheik of our sheikhs Rashid Al-Khatib Al-Mawsilli (may Allah have mercy on him).

In this study, attention is tried to be drawn to the interpretation done by this sublime sheikh as this interpretation is known only by few people.

The study consists of an introduction, a preamble, two sections and the conclusion.

The introduction included the biography of Al-Sheikh Al-Khatib: Al-Sheikh Al-Khatib’s biography is written in seven points.

Section one consists of three subsections: explaining the important definitions, showing the importance of interpreting the Quran by the Sunnah and how many Quranic ayahs were interpreted by the prophet (peace be upon him).

Section two is of three subsections: explaining the types of interpreting the Quran by the Sunnah from three perspectives as viewed by Al-Sheikh Al-Khatib; each perspective is tackled in a subsection.

As for the conclusion, it talks about what have been done in this study.

Finally, I ask Allah success and to be guided by the prophet (peace be upon him).
