Abstract EN

The problem of this research lies in “What is the place of this interpretation in the books of interpretation and what is new in it and how? The research aims at providing a quick overview of Sheikh Kanoun and the qualifications that made him an interpreter.

The research also aims at investigating as the strengths and weaknesses of his method as well as showing its newness.

The importance of this research stems from the fact that the book title is new and has not been written about before.

The researcher used the survey research the comparative method for his research by reading the whole book and comparing it with other books.

The researcher also used the critical analysis research method for distinguishing the strengths and weakness of the book.

The main results of the research were as follows: 1 - Sheikh Abdullah Kanon Adib was a linguist with an extensive knowledge in many fields, such as jurisprudence and its principles, Hadeeth and Quranic interpretation which made him qualified to be in the domain of interpretation.

2 – He was successful in making the best dealing with his time and its issues in terms of his interest in calling for Islam and trying to link it to many of the verses he interpreted.

He also did not overlook the reality of his time by linking some of the verses to the recent issues such as the Question of Palestine and his position from the others.

3 - It can be said that Sheikh Kanoun renewed in his interpretation in two things: the first thing was related to the surface by giving this naming for his interpretation and making it for the last seventh of the Koran; The second thing is related with the content which is linked the call for Dawa to the qur’anic verses and modern time issues as well as deriving judgements useful for today’s times.

4 - Sheikh Kenon Sabqat has leading initiatives in his books that are rarely found in other books such as his mention of Alqraat Almutwaterah and his selection of the different and most frequent famous opinions as found at the beginning of Surah Al-Teen and at the end of Surah Al-Jin.
