Abstract EN

The paper reveals a paradox that has not attracted the attention of researchers and drawn their reflection to answer the following question: If the main purpose of the study of social science methodologies is to identify the multiplicity means to deepen the understanding of phenomena and to realize that what we know is little compared to what is unknown; why is it said that there is only one way to study economics? This paradox also applies to the discourse according to which economics is a positive science based on natural laws and to Islamic discourse which establishes that there are global economic laws valid for all social systems.

This reveals that what really drives the thinking is not the difference with the mainstream economic model, but its imitation to obtain what seems to be one of its most important competitive advantages for the construction and formulation of the knowledge in a convincing way.

If this discourse on Islamic economics declares itself to be based on a different world view, what really arouses it is not the difference, but the unlimited desire for convergence and similarity.
